The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Wilh. Wilhelmsen Holding ASA, located in Malaysia. Wilhelmsen Ship Management is a global maritime group providing essential products, services, crew, and technical management to a significant portion of the merchant fleet. This role is crucial for ensuring the accurate and timely financial management and reporting for the company’s vessel operations. The Accounts Executive contributes to maintaining financial integrity and supporting informed decision-making for vessel owners and management centers worldwide.

• Mission: Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting and reconciliation for vessel operations.
• Tech Stack: SAP, FEBA, MS Office applications, MS Excel

What You’ll Actually Do
• Manage vessel funding: Prepare funds requests to vessel owners and maintain monthly fund schedules.
• Execute bank reconciliations: Perform monthly vessel bank reconciliations and post bank-related entries via FEBA.
• Ensure expense accuracy: Verify payroll entries, onboard cash purchases, and all expenses against proper supporting documents.
• Process accounting entries: Post entries from manning agent disbursements and prepare various journal entries like accruals, adjustments, and amortization.
• Reconcile balance sheet items: Reconcile vessel balance sheet items such as advances, accounts payables, and crew balances, then prepare and submit monthly reports for vessel owners.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Degree in accounting and/or finance or equivalent professional accounting body qualification. Career level: Entry-Level.
• Experience: No specific years required; must demonstrate proficiency in MS Office applications, especially MS Excel.
• Skills: Financial reconciliation, data verification, accounting entry posting, and report preparation.
• Bonus: Work experience involving the use of SAP systems, and a good command of English.
