Staff Accountant – Public Accounting | xendoo Online Accounting, Bookkeeping & Tax

The Tone:
This is a Monday – Friday, in-office position at Xendoo, Inc., located in Fort Lauderdale, FL. Since 2016, Xendoo has been dedicated to providing small business owners with financial clarity and expertise, handling bookkeeping, accounting, financial reporting, and taxes. They utilize proprietary technology and recently acquired an AI platform purpose-built for CPAs. This role is crucial in helping entrepreneurs understand their numbers and make informed decisions, supporting Xendoo’s mission to champion the success of 50,000 small business owners by 2030.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Accounting Operations: Perform foundational accounting tasks including bookkeeping, month-end close, reconciliations, journal entries, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
• Financial Analysis: Interpret and understand key financial statements such as the Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Cash Flow, and Trial Balance.
• Software Utilization: Navigate and utilize accounting software like QuickBooks Online, Xero, or Sage to perform bookkeeping functions and record journal entries.
• Client Communication: Explain financial information and reports clearly and confidently to customers.
• Detail & Discovery: Apply strong attention to detail to understand the “how” and “why” behind financial data, digging deeper to uncover answers.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration from an accredited institution.
• Experience: At least 1 year of accounting or bookkeeping experience, combined with hands-on experience using QBO, Xero, Sage, or similar accounting platforms.
• Skills: Foundational accounting knowledge including bookkeeping, month-end close, and financial statement interpretation; strong written and verbal communication skills to discuss financial reports with customers; exceptional organization and attention to detail.
