2027 Launch Graduate Program: Staff Accountant | Momentum

The Tone:
This is a full-time, onsite role at Momentum, located in Dallas, TX, commencing in June of 2027. This Staff Accountant role is a key part of the Momentum Launch Program, an early career experience designed for recent graduates, offering hands-on training, mentorship, and meaningful work to accelerate professional growth by supporting critical accounting functions, month-end and year-end close, reporting compliance, and analysis.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Financial Records: Assist in the preparation and maintenance of financial records, including journal entries, reconciliations, and general ledger management.
• Close Processes: Support month-end and year-end close processes by preparing financial reports, analyzing variances, and ensuring accurate and timely financial statements.
• Transaction Processing: Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions, including invoice processing, payment tracking, and collections management.
• Compliance and Reporting: Conduct routine audits of financial data to ensure accuracy, compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and regulations, and assist in preparing tax filings and regulatory documentation.
• Technology Utilization: Utilize accounting systems and emerging technologies, including ERP platforms and AI-enabled tools, to improve efficiency, accuracy, and reporting processes.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-level career, graduating in Winter 2026 or Spring 2027, with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting or a related field, and an understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting concepts, and US GAAP.
• Experience: Prior experience working with AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT); proven leadership experience in extracurricular activities or previous roles, demonstrating the ability to drive project success.
• Skills: Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail; excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels; proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Suite; ability to manage multiple priorities; a growth mindset with adaptability and agility to navigate new challenges.
• Bonus: Eligibility and willingness to pursue a CPA license; familiarity with accounting or ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite).
