The Tone:
This is a full-time Staff Accountant role at HERITA USA, located hybrid with an initial in-office period in Miami Beach, FL. HERITA USA is a leading fine wine import company representing premium and ultra-premium wine estates and world-renowned wineries across the United States. This role is crucial for supporting the daily accounting operations of the company, ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal processes. The ideal candidate will be a detail-oriented individual eager to contribute to the finance team and grow within a structured environment.

• Mission: To support the daily accounting operations by accurately processing transactions, performing reconciliations, and assisting with monthly close activities.
• Tech Stack: SAP, Microsoft Excel, general accounting systems

What You’ll Actually Do
• Transactions: Process and maintain Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable transactions accurately and in a timely manner.
• Reconciliations: Perform bank reconciliations and investigate any discrepancies that arise.
• Accruals: Prepare, post, and reconcile accrual entries during the monthly close process.
• Reporting: Maintain and review aging reports to ensure accuracy and follow-up on necessary items.
• Month-End Support: Assist with month-end closing activities and general ledger reconciliations.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
• Experience: 2–5 years of accounting experience, with exposure to Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and general accounting. Experience with SAP is required.
• Skills: Strong understanding of accrual accounting concepts, proficiency in Microsoft Excel, and familiarity with general accounting systems.
• Bonus: Highly organized and detail-oriented, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and a willingness to learn and adapt quickly.
