What You’ll Actually Do
• Financial Record Management: Maintain comprehensive and accurate financial records, ensuring all financial data is meticulously organized and current for client businesses.
• Transaction Processing: Execute the recording of daily financial transactions efficiently, including the precise preparation and posting of all necessary journal entries.
• Account Balancing & Oversight: Perform regular reconciliation of various financial accounts to verify balances, identify discrepancies, and ensure the overall integrity and accuracy of financial data.
• Reporting and Analysis Support: Actively assist in the preparation of financial statements and contribute to generating timely reports that support decision-making for finance and management teams.
• Operational Compliance: Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, diligently update financial records within the company’s accounting software, and provide essential support for audits and ongoing compliance with internal policies and relevant regulations.

The Must-Haves
• Background: A strong foundational understanding of core bookkeeping practices, accounting principles, and basic finance concepts is essential for this role. An Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field is preferred.
• Experience: Proven proficiency in key accounting functions such as recording journal entries, preparing, and reviewing various financial statements and related reports. Direct, hands-on experience utilizing accounting software for daily operations is required.
• Skills: Demonstrated strong analytical abilities for problem-solving, excellent organizational skills for managing multiple tasks, and effective time management to meet deadlines. Superior written and verbal communication skills are necessary, alongside the capability to excel both independently and collaboratively within a hybrid work environment.
• Bonus: Prior professional experience in a dedicated accounting or bookkeeping role within a professional services setting is highly beneficial.
