What You’ll Actually Do
• Client Bookkeeping: Oversee and manage all core bookkeeping functions for a diverse portfolio of multiple small business clients, ensuring meticulous record-keeping and compliance.
• Financial Reconciliation: Perform thorough bank and credit card reconciliations to verify transaction accuracy and integrity across client accounts.
• Ledger Analysis: Systematically review balance sheets and general ledger activity, identifying discrepancies and ensuring financial data consistency.
• Transaction Management: Accurately enter, process, and maintain all financial transactions using both QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks Desktop platforms.
• Client Engagement & Tax Support: Communicate professionally with clients to gather necessary financial documentation and information, while also assisting with sales tax and payroll tax filings as required.
The Must-Haves
• Background: An experienced professional with a comprehensive understanding of core accounting principles, including general ledger accounting, financial reporting, and the nuances of reconciliations.
• Experience: Demonstrated multi-entity bookkeeping experience is a mandatory requirement. Candidates must also possess proven proficiency and hands-on experience with both QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks Desktop.
• Skills: Exceptional communication skills are essential for client interaction, alongside strong client service abilities. A robust analytical aptitude for reviewing financial data is also crucial.
• Bonus: Prior experience gained within a CPA firm or a public accounting environment is highly valued. Additionally, practical experience with sales tax and payroll tax processes will be a significant advantage.
