Accounts Reconciliation Analyst | BusPatrol
The Tone:
This is a full-time role at BusPatrol, located in Austin, Texas. BusPatrol is a public safety technology company that leverages AI, machine learning, and telematics to improve school bus safety by capturing and processing stop-arm violations. The company serves over 350 school districts, protecting nearly 2 million students daily across 30,000 buses, ensuring safer journeys to and from school. This Accounts Reconciliation Analyst role is vital to ensuring precise financial processing and accurate revenue reconciliation for county partners, directly supporting the company’s mission to enhance child safety and maintain strong community impact.
The TL;DR

• Type: Full Time Position (Monday to Friday, 8-5pm, Monday-Thursday in office)
• Location: In-person Austin, TX
• Pay: $25 hourly
• Mission: This person will ensure precise financial record-keeping for incoming payments and support month-end reconciliations to maintain accurate revenue reporting for county partners.
• Tech Stack: Microsoft Office 365, Excel (pivot tables, x lookup, advanced equations, appending and abridging tables), Oracle NetSuite (asset)
What You’ll Actually Do
• Payment Processing: Process and record various payment types, including checks, money orders, and credit cards, ensuring they are applied to the appropriate accounts.
• Refunds & Chargebacks: Issue check and credit card refunds as needed, and handle chargebacks and reversals.
• Reconciliation: Perform daily, weekly, and month-end reconciliations of all payments from checks, money orders, and credit cards to prepare for expedient close.
• Partner Payments: Prepare accurate wire transfers to partners, process month-end reconciliation reviews, and record returned checks as needed.
• Data Entry & Support: Open, code, and enter incoming mail and payments into company systems, and assist the call center with finance-related questions.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level. High school diploma or GED required, with a preferred 2-year degree in Accounting/bookkeeping and core domain knowledge in accounting functions.
• Experience: Demonstrated ability to ensure accuracy in accounting functions. Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365/Excel, including pivot tables, XLOOKUPs, advanced equations, appending, and abridging tables.
• Skills: Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, strong time management skills, effective communication skills, solid work ethic and dependability.
• Bonus: Oracle NetSuite knowledge/experience.
