This Staff Accountant position is integral to the finance team, responsible for managing accounts receivable processes and supporting crucial accounting functions to ensure precise financial operations. The role is vital for maintaining customer account accuracy, facilitating timely collections, and contributing to month-end closing and audit preparation within a continuously growing financial technology environment that values mastery, ownership, and transparency.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Accounts Receivable Management: Oversee the full accounts receivable cycle, including invoice review, collections, cash application, and account reconciliations, to ensure timely and accurate revenue recognition.
• Customer Communication: Address billing discrepancies and promptly respond to customer inquiries regarding their accounts, ensuring positive client relationships and efficient issue resolution.
• Collections Strategy: Monitor accounts receivable aging and collaborate with the Treasury team to facilitate timely collections, thereby optimizing cash flow and reducing outstanding balances.
• Payroll Verification: Review payroll reports and ensure accurate transaction bookings for APAC entities within NetSuite, supporting international financial compliance and accuracy.
• Financial Closing & Analysis: Assist in month-end closing processes, prepare and post journal entries, perform account reconciliations, and analyze financial results to explain variances, contributing to comprehensive and reliable financial reporting.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field, demonstrating a foundational understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Experience: A minimum of 2 years of accounting experience, with proven proficiency in accounts receivable, bookkeeping, general ledger accounting, and month-end close processes.
• Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for interacting with customers and internal teams, high attention to detail and accuracy in all financial documentation, and intermediate Excel skills for analysis and reporting.
• Bonus: Prior experience utilizing NetSuite accounting software and Salesforce CRM is preferred.
