The Tone:
This is a full-time role at SpaceX, located in Palo Alto, CA. This role is crucial within the finance organization, providing essential transactional and operational support for accounts receivable and collections, directly impacting financial health and preserving valuable customer relationships. • Mission: Support the full accounts receivable and collections lifecycle to ensure timely payments and maintain positive customer relationships.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Manage the end-to-end accounts receivable and collections lifecycle, including aging management, customer outreach, follow-up, and account reconciliation.
• Execute collections activities in adherence to established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for collecting payments, suspending services, and escalating accounts.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for AR/collections inquiries across email and ticketing platforms, investigating and resolving issues or escalating when necessary.
• Partner cross-functionally with Billing, Deal Desk, Revenue Accounting, Sales, Customer Success, and Legal to de-escalate billing disputes and resolve complex account issues.
• Support financial monitoring and reporting by helping to track DSO and aged balances, maintain a clean AR ledger, and provide AR/collections data for monthly and quarterly close.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree; 1+ years of experience in accounting (internship experience qualifies).
• Experience: 1+ years of experience in Accounts Receivable, Collections, accounting, or finance (internship experience qualifies); hands-on experience or familiarity with AR/ERP platforms such as NetSuite or Salesforce.
• Skills: Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills; strong customer service orientation; ability to follow established SOPs while exercising sound judgment.
• Bonus: CPA license or equivalent; familiarity with ticketing/support platforms; experience in a high-volume or fast-paced environment.
