This is a full-time Staff Accountant role for a client of Accentuate Staffing, located in Raleigh, NC 27603. What You’ll Actually Do
• Project Support: Contribute to a wide array of recurring accounting projects and undertake ad hoc assignments as requested by the department.
• Tax Compliance & Research: Conduct research and provide informed advice on diverse tax matters, encompassing income, payroll, sales & use, and business property taxes.
• Inventory & Month-End Processes: Support the processing of inventory job requisitions and accurately record necessary month-end adjustments to financial statements.
• Policy & Procedure Development: Collaborate with the corporate Controller to develop, document, implement, and adjust departmental accounting policies and procedures, ensuring ongoing compliance.
• Financial Analysis & Efficiency: Assist in the preparation of annual labor burden calculations, support the quarterly review of the general ledger, and evaluate software solutions to enhance processing efficiency within the Accounting department.
The Must-Haves
• Background: This is a task-oriented Staff Accountant role for a self-starter, preferably with a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting.
• Experience: A minimum of three years of professional accounting experience is required.
• Skills: Strong computer literacy, including advanced Microsoft Excel skills, excellent written and verbal communication, meticulous attention to detail, strong organization, and the ability to work independently, take initiative, and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Bonus: Prior experience within the construction industry is highly valued.
