The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Global Retool Group (GRG), located in Wixom, MI. GRG is a leading international specialist in retooling, retrofitting, and overhauling machine tools across various brands and applications, combining a trusted legacy in precision grinding technology with advanced engineering and global resources. The company serves manufacturers globally, providing vertically integrated automation solutions from design to installation. This role is critical for maintaining accurate financial records and supporting core accounting processes, ensuring timely and reliable financial information that underpins GRG’s operational and strategic decision-making.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Record: Daily financial transactions, ensuring the accurate maintenance of general ledgers.
• Manage: Accounts payable and receivable processes, including the monitoring of cash flow.
• Prepare: Journal entries and assist in the preparation of comprehensive financial statements.
• Support: Month-end and year-end closing activities, alongside reconciling accounts and ensuring compliance with internal controls and accounting standards.
• Generate: Reports for management, collaborating with finance and operations teams to provide timely financial information that supports business decision-making.

The Must-Haves
• Background: An Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience demonstrating a solid understanding of basic finance concepts.
• Experience: Proven experience with accurate recording of transactions, general ledger maintenance, financial statements, and journal entries, coupled with proficiency in accounting software and digital tools.
• Skills: Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, robust numerical and analytical abilities focused on accuracy and problem-solving, and effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Bonus: Prior experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment, or familiarity with Syteline software.
