The Tone:
This is a seasonal internship at CohnReznick, located in Dallas, TX, for Winter 2028 (~January-March). This internship offers motivated accounting students a crucial opportunity to gain hands-on experience, support audit teams, and collaborate with seasoned professionals in a modern, collaborative office environment designed for success. The role is integral to providing clients with deep industry knowledge and solutions to address their unique business goals.

The TL;DR
• Role: Internship
• Type: Seasonal (Winter 2028, approx. January-March)
• Location: Hybrid – Dallas, TX (expected in-office presence averaging 3 days a week)

• Team: Work closely with a team of Interns, Associates, Senior Associates, Managers, Senior Managers, and Partners. Supported by a Performance Coach and a designated CR Friend.
• Mission: Support audit teams by gaining practical accounting and auditing experience, assisting with engagements, and helping to resolve audit issues for diverse clients across various industries to ensure operational efficiency and maximize value.
• Tech Stack: Excel, PowerPoint. Eagerness to learn new technologies is essential.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Manage audit engagement tasks: Work on various aspects of an audit engagement, including cash, bank reconciliations, accounts payable, and searching for unrecorded liabilities.
• Assist with accounting services: Provide support for audits, reviews, compilations, and other accounting services for clients.
• Resolve audit issues: Take part in resolving audit issues by obtaining necessary evidence and making inquiries of clients, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
• Prepare audit documentation: Maintain confirmation logs and prepare comprehensive audit work papers to support audit findings.
• Support client workflow: Assist the team with daily client workflow, contributing to efficient project delivery and client satisfaction.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-level position for individuals pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting.
• Experience: On track to complete 150 credit hours required for CPA eligibility. Must have a minimum 3.2 GPA in both your major and overall academic performance. Successfully completed Intermediate Accounting with a grade of B or higher. Possess leadership experience demonstrated through student groups, activities, or team projects. Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
• Skills: Exhibit excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Demonstrate sharp critical thinking abilities to analyze complex financial data. Possess advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint. Comfortable navigating fast-paced environments and embracing change effectively.
