The Tone:
This is a full-time, onsite position at a well-established, privately held agricultural manufacturing company located in Landenberg, PA. This Accountant role is critical to the efficient operation of the company’s financial department, encompassing key areas such as customer billing, vendor payments, and inventory oversight. The selected individual will be instrumental in ensuring the precision and timeliness of financial transactions and records, directly supporting the company’s financial health and stability. This opportunity is specifically designed for an accounting professional eager to expand their foundational experience in core accounting functions and progress into a more comprehensive accounting role with increased responsibility and impact within the organization. While primarily an onsite role, it offers some flexibility for remote work as needed.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Customer Billing & Revenue: Accurately prepare and process customer invoices, ensuring all charges are correctly applied and payments are received and recorded in a timely manner. This involves detailed attention to billing terms and customer accounts.
• Vendor Payments & Expense Management: Oversee the processing of all vendor invoices, manage timely payments, and perform regular account reconciliations to ensure accuracy of expenses and maintain strong relationships with suppliers.
• Inventory Control & Reconciliation: Maintain precise and up-to-date inventory records, conduct regular reconciliations of inventory balances, and proactively investigate and resolve any discrepancies to ensure accurate stock levels for operational planning.
• Financial Close & Reporting Support: Actively assist with bank and general ledger reconciliations, prepare necessary journal entries, and contribute to the month-end close process, providing support for accurate financial reporting.
• Process Optimization & Career Development: Contribute to the identification and implementation of improvements for existing accounting processes and internal controls, while progressively taking on additional general accounting responsibilities as experience and capabilities grow within the role.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Early Career professional with core domain knowledge in key accounting areas including billing, accounts payable, inventory management, and general accounting principles.
• Experience: A minimum of 2 years of relevant accounting experience is preferred, demonstrating practical application of accounting principles in a business environment.
• Skills: Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational capabilities, proficiency in using Microsoft Excel for analysis and reporting, and hands-on experience with accounting or ERP systems. The ability to work independently, meet deadlines consistently, and effectively solve problems is essential.
• Bonus: A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred, indicating a strong theoretical foundation in the field.
