Clean Energy Rotation Program (Entry-Level) | Renewable Careers

The Tone:
This is a full-time rotational role at Renewable Careers, located in Austin, TX, with a hybrid work model. Renewable Careers develops, builds, owns, and operates utility-scale solar, wind, and battery energy storage projects across the United States. This program exists to develop early-career professionals who will lead the growth in Texas, the country’s fastest-growing clean energy market, by providing a comprehensive understanding of the clean energy business.

The TL;DR

• Pay: $65000–$85000 yearly
• Team: Rotational across core business functions (Development, Engineering & Construction, Finance & Asset Management)
• Mission: To learn the entire clean energy business and contribute to live projects, building cross-functional fluency.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Contribute: Join each rotational team as a full contributor, taking ownership of real deliverables from day one.
• Support: Provide analytical, modeling, and technical support for live renewable energy projects, including site visits across Texas and beyond.
• Present: Articulate and present work completed to senior leadership at the conclusion of every rotation.
• Learn: Gain direct knowledge and mentorship from experienced developers, engineers, and financiers throughout the program.
• Develop: Cultivate cross-functional understanding of the clean energy business to accelerate career progression within the industry.

The Must-Haves
• Background: A bachelor’s degree in engineering, environmental science, economics, finance, business, or a related field. This is an entry-level position.
• Experience: No prior professional energy experience is required for this role.
• Skills: Strong analytical capabilities and comfort using data, spreadsheets, and quickly learning new software tools. Ability to communicate clearly and confidently across all business functions. High adaptability to new teams, problems, and steep learning curves.
• Bonus: Prior internships, academic research, or campus involvement demonstrating initiative are considered a plus.
