The TL;DR

• Mission: Provide support for routine accounting and administrative tasks, including data entry, record keeping, and financial transaction processing for a hotel property.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Data Entry: Enter financial transactions accurately into multiple hotel accounting computer systems.
• Record Keeping: Organize and maintain receipts, invoices, payment records, and other essential accounting documentation.
• Transaction Processing: Process routine bills and customer payments efficiently.
• Administrative Support: Assist with daily accounting and administrative tasks as needed by the hotel team.
• Document Review: Review various financial documents for accuracy and completeness to ensure proper record storage.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level. A high school diploma or equivalent is a mandatory requirement for this position, setting a foundational understanding for administrative and numerical tasks.
• Experience: No specific years of prior experience are required. However, candidates who possess hotel accounting, front desk, or night-audit experience are highly encouraged to apply, as this background provides valuable context for the role’s responsibilities. This position is also designed as a starting point for those looking to develop an accounting and hospitality career.
• Skills: Demonstrated strong attention to detail and accuracy are essential for managing financial data effectively. The ability to work comfortably with computers and quickly learn multiple hotel accounting systems is necessary. Candidates must also exhibit good communication and organizational skills, along with a proactive willingness to learn and take on additional responsibilities as experience grows.
• Bonus: Prior hotel experience is considered a significant advantage. Specifically, night audit experience is preferred, as it offers direct exposure to relevant financial processes and procedures within a hotel environment.
