Financial Accountant | K2 Group

The Tone:
This is a full-time role at K2 Group, supporting the day-to-day financial operations of the company. K2 Group is seeking an accountant who can multitask, efficiently problem solve, and is willing to learn and grow within the organization. This position is critical for ensuring the accuracy of financial transactions, reporting, and supporting the full accounting process. The successful candidate will play a key role in the company’s financial health and operational efficiency.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Accounting Cycle: Manage the complete accounting cycle, including reconciliations for payroll, accruals, bank, pre-payments, tax, and intercompany accounts, along with month-end close.
• General Ledger: Reconcile all accounts to the general ledger, ensuring proper support with appropriate backup documentation.
• Variance Analysis: Investigate and resolve variances in revenue and cost of goods sold between internal and external sources to ensure accurate and timely billings and accruals.
• Accounts Payable: Execute full-cycle accounts payable, including entering invoices, preparing payments, obtaining approvals, and managing a weekly payables list for cash flow forecasting.
• Accounts Receivable: Manage receivables by preparing invoices for third parties and actively following up until settlement.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline; actively pursuing or in the final stages of CPA designation.
• Experience: 2-5 years of full-accounting process experience, preferably in a high-growth and fast-paced environment.
• Skills: Excellent Microsoft Office skills including strong Excel, Online Quickbooks experience, impeccable analytical and organizational skills, strong communication skills (oral and written), and effective time management.
• Bonus: Excellent accounting software user and administration skills, strong interpersonal skills, ability to analyze data and make actionable recommendations with minimal direction, and a highly self-motivated approach to managing multiple tasks.
