This is a role at Tyler Technologies. As a Staff Accountant, you will be crucial for maintaining financial integrity and supporting strategic growth across multiple divisions. You will manage monthly and quarterly financial reporting, ensure compliance with GAAP, and assist the Accounting Manager with critical financial analyses and acquisition integration efforts. This role directly contributes to accurate financial insights and operational efficiency for the organization.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Manage financial close: Participate in the month-end general ledger financial close cycle, ensuring processes comply with SOX for assigned divisions.
• Prepare journal entries: Generate journal entries, ensuring each is fully supported by comprehensive documentation.
• Reconcile accounts: Oversee monthly or quarterly reconciliations of all general ledger accounts to supporting detail, promptly clearing any discrepancies.
• Analyze financial data: Prepare month-end variance analyses to identify and explain financial discrepancies.
• Ensure GAAP compliance: Post journal entries and prepare reconciliations, ensuring all accounting adheres to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level professional with a Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field.
• Experience: Demonstrated strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
• Skills: Exceptional attention to detail, strong oral and written communication abilities, and the capacity to build relationships across various departments. Proactive, self-motivated, and capable of prioritizing tasks effectively.
• Bonus: Experience with Microsoft D365, Blackline, and close management tools.
