Associate Tax Accountant | Medtronic

• Mission: To accurately complete all required U.S. tax analysis, calculations, and reporting for Medtronic’s U.S. businesses.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Tax Reporting Preparation: Prepare U.S. taxable income reporting for tax forms including Forms 1120, 1065, 5471, 8858, 1118, and various state and local tax returns.
• Provision Calculations: Assist with the preparation of quarterly and year-end tax provision calculations.
• Estimated Tax Payments: Help in the preparation of estimated income tax liabilities required for quarterly estimated income tax payments.
• Authority Inquiries: Research and respond to inquiries received from state taxing authorities.
• Special Projects: Work on special tax projects, taking on varying levels of involvement and responsibilities as needed.
• Other Tax Projects: Assist with additional tax projects, which may include transfer pricing and/or indirect tax initiatives, as part of the US Tax Operations team.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
• Experience: No specific years of experience are required, however, corporate income tax experience is preferred.
• Skills: Demonstrated strong computer skills, particularly with MS Office, good organizational skills, attention to detail, and strong oral and written communication skills.
• Bonus: A Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, a positive attitude, ability to adapt to change, and the capability to grow into increased levels of responsibility.
