What You’ll Actually Do
• Accounting Close: Assist with month-end and quarter-end close processes for revenue and deferred revenue accounts.
• Financial Reporting: Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting documentation for revenue-related transactions.
• Compliance: Analyze revenue contracts to ensure proper revenue recognition in accordance with ASC 606.
• Collaboration: Collaborate with sales, legal, and operations teams to understand contract terms impacting revenue.
• Audit Support: Support preparation of schedules and analyses for internal and external auditors.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, with a solid understanding of U.S. GAAP, particularly ASC 606.
• Experience: 1-3 years of experience in accounting, with a focus on revenue recognition preferred.
• Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., VLOOKUP, pivot tables), strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Bonus: Experience with ERP systems like NetSuite or SAP.
