Licensed Private Client Banker | KeyBanc Capital Markets

The Tone:
This is a full-time role at KeyBanc Capital Markets, located in Stone Ridge, New York. • Mission: Help new and existing clients achieve confidence in their financial wellness by assessing their financial needs and offering appropriate products and services.

What You’ll Actually Do
Client Advising: Serve as a trusted advisor and partner, focusing on the entire client relationship with a plan-based approach to financial advice.
Solution Delivery: Deliver and refer appropriate financial solutions, including investment and insurance products, to clients with up to $2M in investable assets.
Relationship Building: Develop and maintain client relationships by building a client referral pipeline and employing a disciplined approach to prospecting.
Account Management: Open personal and business accounts (checking, small business, various deposits, home equity, unsecured lending, certificates of deposit) and support branch operations, including assisting with client transactions on the Teller line.
Compliance & Partnerships: Ensure compliance with operational, risk, security, and audit procedures, and develop strong partnerships with branch teammates and line of business partners.

The Must-Haves
Background: High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience is required. Requires experience in developing current and new customer relationships, achieving sales goals, and building referral sources in insurance and investment products.
Experience: Foundational knowledge of sales and service techniques, including tele-consulting, outside calling, prospecting, and networking. Demonstrated experience with influencing business partners and utilizing centers of influence.
Skills: FINRA Licenses S6, S63, and SIE, as well as Life and Health Insurance Licenses are required upon hire. Requires strong interpersonal interaction skills to build rapport quickly, working knowledge of PCs (MS Windows, Office products), and digital technology.
Bonus: A Bachelor’s Degree is preferred. Comfortable interacting with small business clients, overcoming objection, and asking fact-finding questions.
