What You’ll Actually Do
• Departmental Financial Understanding: Collaborate closely with various department heads to gain a comprehensive understanding of their specific financial reporting activities and proactively ensure the accuracy of all associated data.
• Financial Statement Contribution: Provide active and critical assistance in the thorough preparation and subsequent distribution of financial statements, a process that requires meticulous attention to detail and consolidation of diverse financial inputs.
• Scheduled Reporting Generation: Independently prepare and finalize key financial statements, including but not limited to balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, along with all necessary supporting schedules that provide granular detail to the overall financial picture.
• Monthly Close Execution: Ensure that all assigned financial accounting tasks, including data entry, reconciliation, and report generation, are executed efficiently and accurately in strict accordance with the established monthly close schedule to meet all internal and external reporting deadlines.
The Must-Haves
• Background: An entry-level professional possessing a Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent academic qualification from an accredited institution, specifically in Accounting, Economics, or Finance. This educational foundation is essential for a robust understanding of core financial principles, accounting standards, and economic theory.
• Experience: Demonstrates foundational career experience of 0 to 2 years specifically within an accounting function or a related financial role. This practical exposure is crucial for applying theoretical knowledge to real-world financial operations and understanding typical accounting workflows.
• Skills: Proven proficiency in Microsoft Excel, utilizing its advanced features for complex data manipulation, financial analysis, and reporting. Additionally, the role demands strong analytical capabilities to interpret financial data effectively and excellent organizational skills to manage multiple priorities, maintain meticulous records, and adhere to strict deadlines within an accounting environment.
