The Staff Accountant contributes directly to the financial health and operational efficiency of the organization, working within a collaborative finance team to support various accounting functions. This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth execution of daily accounting tasks and the integrity of financial reporting.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Journal Entries: Prepare and post journal entries to ensure accurate record-keeping.
• Reconciliations: Perform balance sheet and bank account reconciliations to verify financial data.
• Close Processes: Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, contributing to timely financial reporting.
• Financial Reporting Support: Support financial statement preparation and reporting by providing necessary data and analysis.
• Discrepancy Resolution: Analyze account activity and investigate discrepancies to maintain accuracy and resolve issues.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, with an understanding of basic accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Experience: Entry-level for recent Accounting graduates, or 2-3 years of accounting experience in a corporate, manufacturing, distribution, public accounting, or service environment.
• Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Bonus: Internship experience in accounting, finance, or public accounting, exposure to month-end close, reconciliations, or financial reporting, experience with ERP systems like NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or QuickBooks, and pursuit of CPA certification.
