Accounting Intern – Summer 2027 | Scoular

The Tone:
This is an 11-week, in-person internship at Scoular. Scoular is a $7.3 billion company that leads in safe, reliable supply chain solutions for feed and food, transportation, and logistics. This role is essential for upholding the company’s accounting practices, supporting internal controls, and contributing to tax-related processes. You will gain valuable exposure to different teams within Scoular’s accounting function, playing a key part in financial data integrity and business compliance.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Corporate Accounting: Support general ledger activities, account reconciliations, and monthly close processes.
• Internal Controls: Document and test internal controls to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.
• Tax Support: Contribute to preparing tax workpapers and gathering data for federal, state, and local tax filings.
• Audit Preparation: Collaborate with the corporate accounting team in preparing audit schedules and supporting year-end close activities.
• Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline accounting workflows and enhance reporting accuracy.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in accounting. Entry-Level.
• Experience: Experience leading in clubs, athletics, projects, or student government.
• Skills: Quantitative analysis, problem-solving, attention to detail, adaptability, accountability.
