Manufacturing Development Program | Niagara Bottling

The Tone:
This is a 15-month rotational program at Niagara Bottling, located in Atlanta, GA, designed for individuals looking to gain comprehensive experience and develop leadership skills. Niagara Bottling is a leading beverage manufacturer committed to providing customers with the highest quality, most affordable bottled water through hard work and innovation. This role is crucial for developing future leaders who will make an impact across various plant functions and contribute to the company’s mission and performance. Participants will work in an entrepreneurial environment, build lasting relationships, and build a satisfying career.

The TL;DR
• Role: Manufacturing Development Program (rotational)
• Type: Full-time
• Location: In-person Atlanta, GA, with crucial relocation after program completion
• Team: Rotates through plant departments including Production, Maintenance, Warehouse, Operations, Engineering, Human Resources, or Quality Assurance
• Mission: To develop leaders of people or processes through hands-on experience, impactful project work, and professional development in a manufacturing environment
• Tech Stack: Lean Six Sigma (Yellow and Green Belt)

What You’ll Actually Do
• Cross-Functional Rotation: Gain first-hand experience across a broad range of manufacturing functions and departments, spending nine months rotating through plant operations.
• Leadership Experience: Act as a Plant Supervisor for six months, leading a shift to fully understand the scope and importance of the role while addressing people and technical issues.
• Impactful Projects: Complete cost or time-saving projects that are impactful to the plant and Niagara Bottling during departmental rotations.
• Professional Development: Participate in formalized professional skills training, including Niagara culture, self-awareness, leadership development, and Lean Six Sigma Yellow and Green Belt training and projects.
• Stakeholder Communication: Present experiences and project outcomes to local and regional leadership, actively attending meetings and action planning based on feedback.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level with a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business, or any field.
• Experience: 0 years of experience in a manufacturing environment; 0 years of experience managing people or projects.
• Skills: Leadership, problem-solving, teamwork, adaptability, continuous improvement, and effective communication.
• Bonus: Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Business, 2 years of experience in a similar manufacturing environment, 2 years of experience managing people or projects, and 1 year of internship experience.
