Regulatory Compliance Manager (Safeguarding) | Revolut
The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Revolut. Revolut builds a global financial super app, offering products for spending, saving, investing, exchanging, and travel to help customers get more from their money. This role is vital to ensuring Revolut’s products meet legal and policy requirements, specifically focusing on client asset protection and safeguarding, and managing conduct risk within a rapidly evolving digital environment.
The TL;DR

• Team: Part of the Compliance team, supporting the Client Assets Oversight Officer.
• Mission: To advise on client asset protection and safeguarding topics and to support the establishment and monitoring of related controls.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Design: Design, develop, and implement efficient control processes to ensure compliance with client asset protection requirements.
• Advise: Provide technical advice on safeguarding compliance to business and support functions, while promoting regulatory awareness throughout the firm.
• Interpret: Interpret and provide guidance on the application of safeguarding regulations to products and services offered.
• Support: Support the Client Assets Oversight Officer with risk management and governance responsibilities.
• Review: Review the output of client money and custody asset reconciliations, and produce respective effectiveness reports.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Manager level with a focus on regulatory compliance, holding in-depth knowledge of client asset protection, Delegated Directive (EU) 2017/593, and MiFID II.
• Experience: 3+ years in a safeguarding management role within an investment firm, consultancy, or regulator, with experience managing financial control processes, front-to-back office trade flows, and conducting safeguarding gap analysis.
• Skills: Excellent analytical and data interpretation skills, the ability to identify and mitigate regulatory risks, and the capability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under pressure.
• Bonus: A professional certificate or diploma in compliance, a degree in economics or finance, experience with SQL and data analysis to support reconciliation processes and compliance reporting, and exposure to regulatory audits and interaction with regulatory bodies.
