Sales Development Program – Architectural Track (Midwest/Indiana) | Allegion
The Tone:
This is a 12-month rotational training and development program at Allegion, designed to lead to a full-time sales role, primarily based in the Midwest/Indiana region with a 6-month product training module in Denver, CO. Allegion is a 14,000+ person organization specializing in security solutions around the doorway and beyond, with over 40 brands and products sold in 130 countries, focused on creating peace of mind by pioneering safety and security. This program is crucial for developing future sales professionals who will learn consultative selling and Allegion’s product portfolio to add value within different sales channels. It offers a structured path for individuals with no prior selling or security hardware knowledge to build a successful career in the evolving security industry.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Engage: Fully participate in the Sales Development Program – Architectural Track to increase knowledge about the industry, Allegion customers, products, and processes.
• Train: Complete a 6-month product and industry training module at the Denver, CO facility, learning from experts alongside other program employees.
• Immerse: Participate in a 3-month architectural services training curriculum in your local market to further understand Allegion customers, products, and processes.
• Sell: Coordinate and conduct joint sales calls throughout an assigned sales territory and represent Allegion at local security tradeshows during a 3-month field training rotation.
• Utilize: Learn to use Allegion tools and resources such as Dynamics CRM, Overtur, and PowerBI data analytics to gather and maintain project information.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level. Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Business, Construction, Engineering, Architecture, or Marketing preferred.
• Experience: No prior selling or security hardware knowledge is required, as this program is designed for foundational development.
• Skills: Strong mechanical and electronics aptitude, detail-oriented with high organization and time management skills, excellent verbal and written communication and influencing skills.
• Bonus: Ability to travel up to 20%.
