Accounts Payable Specialist | Customand

The Tone:
This is a full-time, 100% remote role at Customand, open to candidates throughout the United States. Customand provides moving and relocation services, including customer scheduling, packing, transportation, storage, and assembly. This role is crucial for maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and supporting the financial health of the company by ensuring precise accounting operations.

• Mission: To maintain accurate accounting records, process financial transactions, and support financial operations for Customand’s moving and relocation services.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Record Financial Transactions: Review and record day-to-day financial transactions in the approved accounting system.
• Process Payments and Expenses: Accurately process invoices, payments, receipts, and expense records with complete supporting documentation.
• Reconcile Accounts: Reconcile bank, card, vendor, customer, and ledger balances, investigating any unexplained discrepancies.
• Maintain Financial Files: Organize and maintain financial files, supporting month-end close processes, account reviews, and audit preparations.
• Generate Financial Reports: Prepare routine financial summaries, aging reports, reconciliations, and transaction reports to support operations.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Early-Career professional with an understanding of basic accounting, reconciliation, invoice, payment, and ledger concepts.
• Experience: Proficient in using spreadsheets and accounting or finance systems; skilled in maintaining complete supporting documentation.
• Skills: Strong numerical accuracy; ability to identify discrepancies; professional communication for internal and external follow-ups; high discretion when handling sensitive financial information.
