What You’ll Actually Do
• Journal Entries: Prepare and post journal entries to ensure all financial activity is recorded completely and accurately.
• Account Reconciliation: Reconcile general ledger accounts and investigate any discrepancies to maintain reliable financial reporting.
• Tax Support: Assist with the preparation and filing of corporate tax returns and support sales tax reporting through data gathering and timely submissions.
• Month-End Close: Participate in month-end and year-end close processes, which includes account analysis and preparing supporting documentation.
• Financial Accuracy: Review financial records for accuracy and consistency, resolving issues in collaboration with relevant departments, and maintaining organized accounting documentation for audits.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level professional with experience or coursework in accounting, finance, or a related field; foundational knowledge of general ledger accounting, journal entry preparation, corporate tax concepts, and sales tax processes.
• Experience: Exposure to tax return support activities and transaction-level review for sales tax reporting.
• Skills: Strong attention to detail, ability to manage multiple priorities accurately, proficiency with spreadsheets and accounting software, and effective communication skills to collaborate with internal stakeholders.
