Accounting Associate | RemoteHunter
The Tone:
This is a full-time role at RemoteHunter’s client, located remotely in the United States. This organization operates within the finance and accounting services space, providing detailed, accurate, and timely financial management and accounting support to mission-driven entities. The Accounting Associate plays a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and completeness of financial records by managing core transactional accounting functions. This position contributes directly to the organization’s financial integrity and operational efficiency, supporting day-to-day accounting operations.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Accounts Receivable: Process invoicing, payment posting, monitoring, and collection efforts.
• Accounts Payable: Manage vendor onboarding, invoice approval, payment processing, and vendor reconciliation.
• Financial Reporting: Prepare financial information for reporting and tax filings.
• General Ledger Maintenance: Maintain general ledger records for revenue, expenditures, and paid media spend.
• Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and efficiency.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a relevant field.
• Experience: Proficiency with Google Sheets and Excel required. Experience with QuickBooks Online, Justworks, Bill.com, and Ramp is preferred.
• Skills: Highly organized with strong attention to detail; ability to handle confidential information professionally; excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Bonus: Experience in startup or growth environments. Associate’s degree with relevant experience will be considered. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks with deadlines.
