• Mission: Learn to manage fleet operations, ensure compliance, and provide superior service to drivers and customers to facilitate the safe and timely movement of freight.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Operations & Logistics: Assign loads, plan routes, and monitor freight movement to ensure safe, on-time service and meet customer requirements.
• Driver & Carrier Management: Build and maintain professional relationships with drivers and external carriers, minimizing turnover and maximizing ongoing productivity.
• Compliance & Safety: Ensure driver compliance with DOT regulations and company safety policies, including conducting safety messages, briefings, and training.
• Financial & Administrative: Perform administrative duties such as payroll, managing the Net-Revenue budget, analyzing P&L statements, and creating operational or financial reports.
• Asset & Problem Resolution: Manage inventory, assets, customer pools, and equipment, including yard operations, and resolve service or mechanical issues for drivers and customers.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level professional with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Transportation/Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field. Alternatively, a High School Diploma/GED combined with 1 year of experience in management, transportation/logistics, business administration, account management, or military experience.
• Experience: Willingness to travel to account, customer, and company event locations; ability to work across multiple shifts including nights and/or weekends; willingness to regionally relocate dependent on account assignment.
• Skills: Knowledge of DOT regulations, fleet operations management, load assignment and freight planning, inventory and asset management, financial analysis and reporting.
• Bonus: Experience managing a team, anticipating and resolving conflicts, making productive analytical decisions, adapting to changing environments, establishing strong working relationships with clients, vendors, and peers, and effective communication.
