SAP Program Management Manager | Accenture

What You’ll Actually Do
• Leadership: Lead a PMO function or program management workstream, ensuring effective execution of governance activities, reporting, planning, communications, and stakeholder management processes.
• Process Improvement: Establish and continuously improve ways of working, tools, governance processes, and reporting structures, tailoring them to client needs and aligning them with SAP delivery leading practices and Accenture methodologies.
• Program Coordination: Manage and coordinate program activities across multiple workstreams, helping ensure alignment on scope, milestones, dependencies, resources, risks, issues, and overall program objectives for successful outcomes.
• Milestone Management: Coordinate phase gate and readiness activities across workstreams, validating progress against defined entry and exit criteria, tracking required evidence, identifying readiness gaps, and driving owners to closure ahead of key milestones and governance decisions.
• Strategic Advising: Serve as a trusted advisor to client and internal stakeholders within your area of responsibility, providing timely recommendations, communicating program insights, and supporting effective decision-making through thoughtful analysis.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Minimum Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent (12 years) work experience in SAP project environments, IT consulting, or enterprise transformation, demonstrating strong leadership capabilities for complex SAP programs.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years total professional experience, including 5 years supporting or leading SAP programs in a PMO or project management capacity. This must include participation in at least 2 full end-to-end SAP implementation lifecycles (ECC or S/4HANA), hands-on experience across project planning, scheduling, RAID management, financial tracking and forecasting, resource management, status reporting, and governance support. Additionally, coordinating phase gate and readiness activities, and coordinating cross-functional teams (4-15 professionals) across various workstreams is required.
• Skills: Proficiency with PMO toolsets such as Jira, Azure DevOps, MS Project, Power BI, advanced Excel, and SharePoint, including their configuration, maintenance, and adoption. Required familiarity with SAP S/4HANA and working knowledge of SAP Activate methodology and Agile/Waterfall/hybrid delivery frameworks.
• Bonus: Preferred experience operationalizing automation, reporting accelerators, analytics dashboards, or GenAI/Agentic AI capabilities to improve PMO visibility, governance, and delivery efficiency. Preferred certifications include PMP or PRINCE2 Foundation/Practitioner, SAP Certified Associate – Project Manager (SAP Activate), CAPM, PMI-ACP, Scrum Master, or an SAP module-level certification.
