Milliman delivers market-leading services and solutions to clients worldwide, addressing critical issues such as retirement funding, healthcare financing, risk management, data analytics, and business transformation. The company offers unparalleled expertise across employee benefits, investment consulting, healthcare, life insurance, and property and casualty insurance. This role is crucial for establishing and refining the business engagement and engineering capability within the new Milliman AI Solutions practice, driving AI transformation for internal and external clients.

• Team: Within the Milliman AI Solutions practice, collaborating with practice leaders, domain experts, AI engineers, and AI architects.
• Mission: To establish and refine the business engagement and engineering capability within Milliman AI Solutions, responding to increasing demand for AI transformation services.
• Tech Stack: Enterprise AI tool ecosystems, generative AI tools, knowledge assistants, agentic workflow platforms, document intelligence capabilities, LLMs, prompt design, retrieval-augmented generation.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Client Engagement: Guide internal and client teams through AI transformation, from early opportunity shaping to proposal development and AI use case engagements.
• Transformation Roadmaps: Translate client strategic priorities and workflow pain points into actionable AI transformation roadmaps, use case portfolios, and implementation pathways.
• Workflow Mapping: Map current-state insurance workflows, decision processes, and expert knowledge to identify practical AI-enabled transformation opportunities.
• Solution Co-Design: Co-design practical AI-enabled solutions with business experts, AI engineers, and product owners, ensuring alignment with real workflows and constraints.
• Tool Enablement: Advise on the effective use of enterprise AI tool ecosystems, including generative AI, knowledge assistants, and agentic platforms, defining requirements for scalable implementation.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Actuarial Science, Engineering, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Data Science, Business, Finance, Insurance, or a related quantitative or business field.
• Experience: 6–8 years of professional experience in insurance, actuarial consulting, business transformation, operations, data management, or technology-enabled consulting, including experience in business development, proposal writing, or solution scoping.
• Skills: Strong understanding of insurance workflows and ability to map business processes; practical fluency with generative AI, LLMs, prompt design, and agentic systems, including responsible AI principles; experience with enterprise AI tool ecosystems; excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Bonus: Entrepreneurial mindset, structured problem-solving, commercial awareness, and willingness to build new capabilities within a fast-evolving practice.
