Staff I Accountant – Consolidations, Reporting & Corporate Accounting | Tiffany & Co.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Corporate Accounting Close: Own a broad and diverse portfolio of recurring monthly close deliverables across a global structure of corporate holding entities.
• Journal Entry Preparation: Prepare daily, weekly, and month-end cash journal entries, recurring debt and note amortization entries, and intercompany loan entries.
• Accruals and Payments: Prepare all royalty and intragroup fee accounting entries, including accruals and processing payments.
• Consolidation Support: Review global balance sheet variation analyses and market-submitted explanations for assigned account categories.
• Process Improvement & Analytics: Actively participate in the team’s process improvement and automation agenda, while also preparing P&L and balance sheet variation analyses and account reconciliations.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; foundational knowledge of US GAAP and/or IFRS accounting principles.
• Experience: Prior internship experience in accounting, finance, or a related field; ability to quickly learn and navigate new financial systems and technology platforms.
• Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail; strong written and verbal communication skills; proficiency in Microsoft Excel including comfort working with large data sets and financial models.
• Bonus: Active pursuit of CPA licensure; exposure to ERP systems such as JD Edwards or close management tools like BlackLine.
