• Mission: Serve as the strategic business owner for assigned non-clinical spend categories, developing and executing strategies to align organizational objectives, operational requirements, and financial goals.
• Tech Stack: ERP, Contract Management Software, Inventory Systems, MS office suite, EDI/GHX.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Strategize: Develop and execute comprehensive category strategies for non-clinical spend areas such as Facilities and Maintenance Operations (MRO), Construction and Capital Projects, Professional and Consulting Services, Human Resources, Financial Services, and Non-Clinical Capital Equipment.
• Collaborate: Work closely with business leaders across Facilities, Human Resources, Finance, Construction, and other operational departments to ensure alignment and drive successful project outcomes.
• Manage: Act as the strategic business owner for assigned non-clinical spend categories, overseeing all aspects of supplier relationships, contractual compliance, and risk mitigation.
• Optimize: Establish and manage strategic supplier relationships, utilizing performance metrics, regular business reviews, and market intelligence to improve service quality and reduce organizational risk.
• Deliver Value: Drive continuous improvement and value realization across Montefiore’s non-clinical portfolio by identifying opportunities for efficiencies and maximizing financial savings.

The Must-Haves
• Background: A Bachelor of Science or Business Administration degree is required, with comprehensive knowledge of supply chain management principles and healthcare indirect and non-clinical spend categories.
• Experience: A minimum of five years of contract management and/or property management experience is required, with a specific focus on indirect spend, including areas like Facilities MRO, Construction, Professional Services, HR, Finance, and Non-Clinical Capital Equipment.
• Skills: Demonstrated superior analytic and problem-solving skills, alongside proficiency in accounting principles, cost analysis, budgeting, forecasting, market and supplier research, and business judgment.
• Bonus: A Master’s degree is preferred, along with knowledge of ERP systems, current supply chain information systems, Contract Management Software, EDI/GHX, and Inventory Management Software.
