Accounting & Finance Co-Op/Intern – Summer 2027 | The Mosaic Company
The Tone:
This is a full-time hybrid internship at The Mosaic Company, located at the FishHawk site in Lithia, FL. The Mosaic Company is the world’s leading integrated producer of concentrated phosphate and potash, essential nutrients for agriculture. This role is crucial for assisting the Accounting team with daily activities, allowing students to learn from professionals and contribute to exciting projects within a global leader.
The TL;DR
• Role: Internship
• Type: Hybrid, Full-time Co-Op/Internship, typically 36-40 hours a week
• Location: Hybrid, Greater Tampa Bay Area (FishHawk site in Lithia, FL)
• Mission: Assist in completing the daily activities of the Accounting team to support the company’s financial operations.
• Tech Stack: Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), visualization/reporting tools
What You’ll Actually Do
• Support Corporate Accounting: Complete daily activities and assist with monthly and quarterly closing responsibilities across the Accounting team.
• Conduct Financial Analysis: Perform data and cost analysis, write reports, and reconcile balance sheets across various corporate accounting functions.
• Manage Rotational Assignments: Integrate into a real-life work environment through rotational assignments in areas such as Inventory Costing, Revenue, Reporting, Leasing, and Financial Analysis.
• Contribute to Special Projects: Undertake assigned special projects, posting journals and managing data as needed to support financial initiatives.
• Facilitate Communication: Communicate effectively with personnel at various organizational levels and actively participate in department and project-specific meetings.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Currently a junior level or above student by May 2027, pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance with a 2.75 GPA or higher.
• Experience: Possess experience working effectively in a team environment.
• Skills: Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and possess basic computer skills.
• Bonus: Have 1-2 years of experience volunteering, working with student/school organizations, or prior work experience. Possess previous internship or co-op experience. Demonstrate proficiency with visualization/reporting tools. Exhibit effective verbal communication skills. Maintain reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
