Corporate Accounting Co-Op – Spring 2027 | Fifth Third Bank
The Tone:
This is a co-op position at Fifth Third Bank, located in Cincinnati, Ohio. • Mission: To provide practical experience in corporate accounting processes, supporting month-end close, financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and finance transformation initiatives.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Close Support: Support the month-end and year-end financial closing processes.
• Financial Reporting: Assist in preparing financial statements and various reports.
• Data Integrity: Perform account reconciliations to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data.
• Audit & Compliance: Participate in internal audits and compliance reviews.
• Financial Analysis: Analyze financial data and provide insights to support decision-making.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Currently pursuing an Accounting, Economics, Finance, Data Science, or related Bachelor’s degree as a rising sophomore, rising junior, or rising senior. Must maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 and be authorized to work in the U.S. without requiring employment-based immigration sponsorship now or in the future.
• Experience: No prior professional experience is required; will gain hands-on experience through this co-op.
• Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities; proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); excellent communication and interpersonal skills; an ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team; and a detail-oriented approach with high accuracy.
• Bonus: Prior relevant internships or co-op program experience is preferred.
