As a core member of the accounting organization, the Staff Accountant ensures accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with US GAAP in general accounting processes. What You’ll Actually Do
• Accounting Operations: Support diverse general accounting processes, encompassing fixed assets, leases, homebuilding & inventory, accruals, and allocations, ensuring their accurate execution.
• Financial Reporting: Prepare precise accounting transactions and diligently maintain financial records, actively contributing to the smooth execution of month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Compliance & Controls: Assist in the design and maintenance of robust accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls, crucial for driving efficiency, accuracy, and adherence to US GAAP standards.
• Audit Collaboration: Provide essential support for both internal and external audits by compiling comprehensive schedules, documentation, and preparing responses under supervision.
• Process Enhancement: Participate in significant end-to-end process optimization and automation initiatives, collaborating cross-functionally to measurably improve operational efficiency, scalability, and data quality within accounting workflows.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; an early career professional.
• Experience: 1-2 years of accounting experience, which must include public accounting and/or public company exposure.
• Skills: Strong knowledge of US GAAP, experience working in a SOX-compliant environment, excellent written and oral communication skills, and familiarity with process improvement frameworks and digital technologies impacting record-to-report processes.
• Bonus: A Master’s degree, real estate and/or construction industry experience, CPA or CPA candidate, and familiarity with specific tools such as JD Edwards EnterpriseOne, Essbase, Hyperion, Blackline, Power BI, Alteryx, or agentic AI/LLM tools like Copilot / Claude.
