What You’ll Actually Do
• Utilize SurePrep: Verify the operational efficiency of SurePrep software, including 1040SCAN and Optical Character Recognition (OCR) technology.
• Process Tax Data: Verify and accurately input 1040 tax data submitted by clients and scanned into the software.
• Ensure Accuracy: Constantly focus on details and the accuracy of the software’s functionality to successfully prepare client tax documents.
• Optimize Workflow: Help maximize efficiency within the 1040SCAN software to facilitate a paperless tax workflow.
• Troubleshoot Software: Provide solutions to errors encountered in 1040SCAN operations to ensure effective results from the software.
• Distribute Work: Utilize XCM to ensure the proper distribution of completed work to the appropriate person, creating efficiency in tax project completion.
• Manage Documents: Work with the tax department’s workflow and document storage tools to maintain organized processes.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-level role, focused on current students.
• Experience: Must be able to work at least 20 hours per week, with flexible hours to accommodate school schedules.
• Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, ability to work independently, commitment to working collaboratively in a team environment, and ability to work in person.
• Bonus: Accounting majors preferred, those with a graduation date in 2029 preferred, and a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
