• Mission: To assist clients with audit and tax needs by applying accounting principles, evaluating controls, and preparing accurate financial and tax documents while adhering to professional standards.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Control Evaluation: Assist with the study and evaluation of internal accounting controls, testing compliance when appropriate to ensure their effectiveness.
• Financial Reporting: Prepare financial statements in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles for clients.
• Account Reconciliation: Examine client reconciliations of bank accounts and subsidiary accounts, investigating any discrepancies found.
• Tax Preparation: Work on a variety of S-Corp, C-Corp, Partnership, Multi-State, Individual, trust, and estate tax returns.
• Client Interaction: Interact and work closely with clients and client executives to provide tax planning, consulting, and compliance services.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level professional with a college degree, majoring or concentrating in accounting.
• Experience: Foundational understanding of generally accepted accounting principles and generally accepted auditing standards as defined in accounting and auditing literature.
• Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, working knowledge of Federal and state income tax laws and regulations, and demonstrated accuracy in dealing with information.
• Bonus: Preferred candidate is currently working towards completing the CPA exam; flexibility to work weekends and undertake overnight travel will be necessary as deadlines approach.
