2027 Amazon Finance Rotation Program – Accounting Intern | Amazon

The Tone:
This is a full-time internship at Amazon, located in Seattle, WA or Arlington, VA. Amazon’s Global Accounting organization is dedicated to building scalable processes and strong internal controls to support the company’s rapid growth across all lines of operations. This role is crucial for driving timely and accurate financial reporting by enhancing the efficiency of close processes, and for partnering closely with business and technology teams to launch new products and geographies in a well-controlled, automated way. What You’ll Actually Do
• Optimize Processes: Flex accounting, analytical, and business acumen to optimize processes within your unique team project.
• Drive Quality: Drive quality in accounting and financial reporting, contributing to the enhancement of close process efficiency.
• Solve Problems: Solve real business problems by applying your accounting knowledge and analytical skills in ambiguous situations.
• Partner with Teams: Partner with teams across accounting, finance, operations, and technology organizations within Amazon.
• Present Results: Showcase your project results and findings to stakeholders and leadership in a capstone presentation.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program in Accounting (or a dual degree/sub-matriculation master’s degree program completed concurrently with your bachelor’s degree) with a graduation conferral date between December 2027 and June 2028.
• Experience: Ability to work 40 hours/week throughout a 12-week summer internship; experience in sourcing, summarizing, and communicating data relevant to problems.
• Skills: Strong analytical skills, advanced proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data modeling), solid understanding of accounting principles, strong organizational and project management skills, effective interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills, and a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
