2026 Management & Sales Training Program – Floorcovering | Sherwin-Williams

The Tone:
This is an accelerated, entry-level position at Sherwin-Williams, designed to prepare individuals for Floorcovering Facility Management or Sales Representative roles within 18-24 months. Sherwin-Williams, a company with a national footprint serving professional clients in all major markets throughout the United States, emphasizes a promote-from-within philosophy, offering career flexibility and consistent growth opportunities. This program is crucial for developing future leaders who will drive the success and strategy of multi-million-dollar floorcovering facilities. Upon successful completion, candidates will progress into key operational or field roles within the Floorcovering Division.

• Team: Partners with facility leadership, sales, and regional management.
• Mission: To oversee a multi-million-dollar business, providing leadership and insight into the development and strategy of a floorcovering facility, and assisting in growing market share by selling floorcovering materials to commercial clients.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Program Completion: Complete training consistent with the established program to gain knowledge in facility operations, core products, installation techniques, customer service, and client development.
• Business Growth: Support business strategies to increase sales and optimize profitability while providing leadership and insight into facility development and strategy.
• Customer Relations: Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent service and build positive relationships with wholesale and retail customers.
• Market Share Expansion: Partner with the Store Manager to make outside sales calls and sell floorcovering materials to commercial consumers like property management companies, builders, and renovation contractors.
• Operational Support: Complete store administration, maintain outstanding store condition and visual merchandising, and ensure compliance with policies and procedures including safety and loss prevention.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree by the start of this development program; Entry-Level career focus in management, sales, or operations.
• Experience: Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age and legally authorized to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship now or in the future.
• Skills: Valid, unrestricted Driver’s License; ability to retrieve material from shelves and floor stacks and lift and carry up to 50 lbs. frequently and up to 70 lbs. on occasion; strong communication skills.
• Bonus: At least one year of experience in a retail, sales, or customer service position; at least one year of experience in a leadership role, supervising others, or leading teams; previous experience in a team-oriented setting; work experience selling floorcovering products or using timekeeping/CRM systems; willingness to relocate; ability to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in Spanish.
