What You’ll Actually Do
• Accounts Payable Management: Responsible for managing the entire accounts payable process from end-to-end, which includes diligent invoice processing, thorough vendor verification, and precise expense tracking to ensure operational efficiency.
• Financial Record Keeping: Execute accurate transactional accounting entries on a regular basis and diligently maintain comprehensive financial records that are vital for both internal departmental reviews and external audit preparations.
• Month-End Close and Analysis: Prepare detailed monthly close working papers and provide essential support in conducting actual versus budget analysis, contributing to informed financial decision-making.
• Local Tax Compliance: Prepare all necessary local tax filings, ensuring full compliance with specific state and county requirements and contributing to the company’s regulatory adherence.
• Audit Support and Compliance: Actively support the external audit process, ensuring strict adherence to established internal controls, compliance with US GAAP, and consistent application of company policies.
The Must-Haves
• Background: This role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field.
• Experience: Candidates should possess 0-2 years of accounting experience, ideally gained within a corporate or public accounting environment.
• Skills: A solid grasp of US GAAP principles and internal controls is essential, alongside strong attention to detail, discretion when handling confidential information, and the ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively across functions.
