Data Center Site Acquisition Specialist Graduate (Data Center Development) | ByteDance

This is a full-time graduate role at ByteDance, located in a selected city globally. ByteDance is a large organization building hyper-scale data centers worldwide to support its rapid growth and manage vast content across its platforms. This role is crucial for learning the end-to-end site acquisition process, enabling the company to expand its global infrastructure efficiently.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Capacity Planning: Understand capacity needs and site requirements in assigned metros/regions by collaborating with stakeholders and conducting market research.
• Site Procurement: Facilitate the site acquisition process, including due diligence tasks and documentation, by engaging and evaluating qualified suppliers.
• Lease Portfolio Management: Maintain the existing lease portfolio by tracking key terms, deadlines, and identifying renewal opportunities.
• Contract Support: Prepare necessary materials for contract negotiations by coordinating with Legal, Finance, Engineering, and Compliance teams.
• Deal Analysis: Create deal summaries, lease abstracts, and cost analyses to support senior team member reviews and decision-making processes.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Early career individual completing or recently completed a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain, Finance, or other relevant fields.
• Experience: No prior professional experience beyond educational background required; strong organizational and project coordination skills are essential.
• Skills: Strong analytical and communication skills, ability to track multiple workstreams and deadlines, and a genuine interest in infrastructure, real estate, or data center markets.
• Bonus: Internship, co-op, or academic project experience in real estate, supply chain, procurement, construction, or facility management; exposure to financial analysis or lease/contract concepts through coursework or internships; familiarity with data center, telecom, or infrastructure industries.
