Audit Intern (Spring 2028) | KSM (Katz, Sapper & Miller)

The Tone:
This is a seasonal Audit Intern position at KSM (Katz, Sapper & Miller), based in various KSM offices across the U.S. KSM stands as one of the top 50 largest independent advisory, tax, and audit firms, distinguished not just by its size, but by its people and culture. • Mission: To learn how the theories and principles of accounting are applied while performing the essential functions of a first-year associate accountant within a public accounting firm.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Apply Theory to Practice: Apply the theories and principles of accounting through active participation in real-world client engagements, performing tasks similar to a first-year associate accountant.
• Participate in Training: Engage in intern orientation, technical training, and development programs designed to expose you to audit work and provide tools for immediate client contributions.
• Gain Professional Experience: Acquire direct professional experience through on-the-job training and meaningful work engagements, translating academic knowledge into practical application.
• Learn from Experts: Receive direct guidance and mentorship from experienced Associates, Seniors, Managers, and Partners, benefiting from their specialized experience and technical knowledge across various industries.
• Support Diverse Clients: Work directly with a variety of clients spanning multiple industries, from start-ups and family-run businesses to multi-national corporations.
• Showcase Potential: Demonstrate strong performance and the ability to seamlessly transition into a full-time Associate Accountant role at Katz, Sapper & Miller upon graduation.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level. Currently working towards an Undergraduate or Master’s Degree in Business or Accounting.
• Experience: On track for CPA eligibility upon graduation. Demonstrated academic excellence with a minimum overall GPA of 3.0.
• Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication abilities. Strong collaboration skills to work effectively in a team environment with all levels of client personnel across various industries.
