The Tone:
This is an early career Special Projects Analyst role at Boom Supersonic, located in Centennial, CO. This role is crucial for parachuting into the most broken or urgent challenges anywhere in the company and owning the fix, not just providing recommendations. What You’ll Actually Do
• Own a real problem or a meaningful piece of one from end to end, ensuring the fix is implemented.
• Support investor diligence by compiling the operational and financial story and answering critical questions for fundraising.
• Lead the complex logistics of relocating test cells, massive machines, or entire labs to new sites with minimal downtime.
• Build robust business processes for intake, reporting cadences, and approval flows that teams will continue to use.
• Drive critical, slipping projects back on track by identifying blockers, clarifying ownership, and determining next steps.
• Conduct the analysis behind significant business decisions, such as site selection, make-vs-buy choices, or complex cost breakdowns.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, a quantitative field, or finance. This is an early career role.
• Experience: Proven ability to accomplish difficult tasks, demonstrated by starting real initiatives, leading successful teams, driving research, or taking on responsibilities beyond your title. A track record of finishing hard things, both academically and professionally.
• Skills: Strong analytical horsepower, including speed in spreadsheets and the ability to build financial or operational models from scratch.
• Bonus: A preference for hands-on problem-solving on the shop floor over discussions in a conference room. Energized by ownership and comfortable with ambiguity, often taking initiative rather than waiting for permission. A natural curiosity to investigate the root cause of issues when encountering obstacles.
