MedQuest Imaging is a leading provider of outpatient diagnostic imaging services in the United States, operating a network of independent and hospital-affiliated radiology centers. This Staff Accountant position is crucial for supporting daily accounting operations, general ledger activities, and the annual financial close processes. The role plays a key part in ensuring financial accuracy, facilitating tax-related reporting, and providing essential financial data analysis to support management decisions and overall business growth.

What You’ll Actually Do
• General Accounting: Prepare and record journal entries accurately and assist with financial close processes.
• General Ledger Accounting: Maintain the integrity and accuracy of the general ledger and reconcile account balances.
• Tax and Compliance: Support tax filings and ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
• Financial Analysis: Extract, compile, and analyze financial data to create recurring and ad hoc reports.
• Process Improvement: Participate in efforts to enhance accounting workflows and internal controls.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting with an understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Experience: 0-2 years of accounting experience, including internships or relevant coursework, and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills, with excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Bonus: Experience using NetSuite ERP or similar accounting systems, exposure to tax compliance or auditing, and interest in pursuing professional accounting certification.
