What You’ll Actually Do
• Program Completion: Complete comprehensive training consistent with the established program, designed to prepare for an Assistant Store Manager position upon initial 8-week training success and a full Store Management role within 18-24 months.
• Business Leadership: Collaborate with store management to oversee a million-dollar business, providing leadership and insight into the development and strategy of that store, learning all operations, clients, and internal strategy.
• Sales & Market Growth: Grow the company’s market share by actively selling to large, commercial users such as painting contractors, purchasing agents, and manufacturers, and partner with the Store Manager on outside sales calls.
• Customer & Community Engagement: Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent service, build positive relationships with both wholesale and retail customers, and establish essential community connections.
• Store Operations & Compliance: Complete store administration tasks, maintain outstanding store condition and visual merchandising standards including promotional packages, and ensure compliance with all policies and procedures.
• Team Support: Support employee training, development, performance management, and corrective action, and respond to and resolve any customer and/or employee complaints.
The Must-Haves
• Background: An entry-level development program requiring at least a bachelor’s degree by the start date of Summer 2026.
• Experience: Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age, legally authorized to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship for employment work visa status now or in the future, and possess a valid, unrestricted Driver’s License.
• Skills: A foundational aptitude to excel at customer service, sales, marketing, finance, and operations, with the ability to learn and apply comprehensive product knowledge and build professional relationships.
• Bonus: Preferred qualifications include at least one year of experience in a retail, sales, or customer service position, or in a leadership role supervising others or leading teams. Previous experience in a team-oriented setting including work experience, extracurricular activities, or military service is also preferred. Willingness to relocate for future job opportunities, or the ability to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in more than one language, especially Spanish, are also a plus. Experience using timekeeping and/or customer relationship management (“CRM”) systems is also preferred.
