ACCOUNTING ASSISTANT | Canteen North America

• Mission: This person ensures accurate and timely processing of accounts payable and receivable transactions to support Canteen’s financial operations.
• Tech Stack: SAP, Microsoft Excel, Access

What You’ll Actually Do
• Accounts Payable Support: Supports the Accounts Payable function, including review of entries and managing check runs.
• Invoice Processing: Reviews invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment.
• Vendor Management: Responds to vendor inquiries and researches and solves payment discrepancies.
• Financial Transactions: Prepares bank deposits, completes bank reconciliation, and follows up on aging accounts.
• Reporting and Analysis: Assists with reporting to support month-end accounting close entries, prepares various account reconciliations, and develops queries using Access and Excel.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level. Core domain knowledge in accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Experience: Previous experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, SAP, and Microsoft Excel is required.
• Skills: Accounts payable processing, accounts receivable management, financial transaction preparation, report generation using Access and Excel, vendor communication and inquiry resolution.
