What You’ll Actually Do
• General Ledger Management: Manage the general ledger by preparing journal entries, processing accounts payable, handling bank deposits, and completing bank reconciliations.
• Financial Statement Preparation: Prepare and review monthly financial statements to ensure they are complete and accurate.
• Transaction Processing: Process various financial transactions, including recording rents and reimbursements in Yardi, managing company invoices, loan payments, and expense reports.
• Reconciliation and Reimbursements: Perform bank reconciliations, identify variances, complete monthly and annual tenant reimbursement processes, and review expenses for lender eligibility.
• Project Support and Analysis: Assist and lead accounting and finance projects, provide ad hoc financial analysis and reporting, and communicate effectively with other departments like Asset Management and Investor Relations.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, with foundational knowledge of general accounting.
• Experience: 1 to 3 years of proven experience in an accounting or finance role.
• Skills: High level of accuracy and confidentiality, analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent written and verbal communication, detail-oriented, strong interpersonal skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
• Bonus: Proactive problem-solving, initiative-taking, a positive team-player attitude, and the ability to thrive while working remotely.
