The Tone:
This is a full-time Associate role at Goldman Sachs, located in New York, New York. This position is within the firm’s Engineering organization, a core function that drives innovation and transformation across the global company. The role is pivotal in supporting strategic initiatives, enhancing employee experience, and fostering collaboration within Engineering to achieve ambitious business priorities.

• Pay: $145000–$154900 yearly
• Team: Engineering COO team
• Mission: To drive growth, innovation, and organizational transformation within the Engineering division through strategic initiatives and enhanced employee engagement.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Understand: Develop a deep understanding of the Engineering organization’s business priorities to identify opportunities for growth, innovation, and transformation.
• Partner: Collaborate with Engineering leadership to accelerate organizational transformation using empathetic communication to align with business goals and enhance team engagement.
• Guide: Utilize data-driven insights, proven problem-solving methodologies, and cross-team collaboration to inform decision-making and guide high-impact initiatives.
• Lead: Create high-quality content and events that promote the Engineering brand, elevate the employee experience, and showcase the organization’s talent, innovation, and culture.
• Support: Assist with strategic, high-visibility projects led by the Engineering c-suite, including initiatives sponsored by the global COO of Engineering, and foster cross-functional collaboration for alignment across diverse teams and global stakeholders.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Master’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Finance, Management, Business Operations, or a related analytical field such as Operations, Information & Decisions. OR Bachelor’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Finance, Management, Business Operations, or a related analytical field.
• Experience: One (1) year of experience in the job offered or a related role with a Master’s degree OR three (3) years of experience in the job offered or a related role with a Bachelor’s degree. Prior experience must include: business management and employee or client engagement; specifying tasks and timelines for project delivery; diagnosing and resolving business problems efficiently, effectively, and collaboratively; and working closely with senior level sponsors and stakeholders to create consensus around plans, activities, and measures of strategic projects.
